Studio Studies

If you've been looking for a more intimate learning experience, try one of my Studio Studies with me in my art studio. These are my private, small group classes. Each month, I teach a new topic and go for a deep dive. Perks include getting to work large, having your own station, a 1-on-1 critique at the end, and the opportunity to hang class artwork for sale in my studio at one of the following open house events.

July: Monumental Painting [Sold Out]

Would you like to paint larger but you’re afraid to make the leap?

Stretch your creativity—and your body—while creating a large-scale painting. Learn about the different stages of making a painting as you are guided through the process.

The result: a large 40" x 80" painting!

August: Half Baked Art

We will explore what it means to make art that is raw, loose, playful, and undone...half baked.

This might just be the most interesting and soulful work you will ever make. Learning when to stop and not overwork your creations. How to keep that organic and spontaneous appeal.

September: Abstract Drawing

This is not your grandmother's drawing class.

Get loose in this unconventional drawing class using a variety of drawing tools and materials on paper. Drawing is a powerful and wonderful language, capable of expressing things not easily conveyed in other mediums.
